Tuition Sucks!?

As you know…school ain’t cheap. In fact Raelyn and I are still paying off our school debt today (and we graduated almost a hundred years ago)! I absolutely hate having unpaid debts, and being limited to just slowly chipping away at that mountain is sometimes overwhelming (depressing?).

This morning in my devotions I was reminded that I had made the right decision in going to college, even though it meant taking out student loans to do so. It was good that I went to college, and pushed through all the stress, and finally got that degree. And it was good even though it did cost me a lot of money. It’s good for lots of reasons, one of them being that God wants us to learn.

Buy truth, and do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding. – Proverbs 23:23

God used college to grow me in so many ways. Yes the formal education was good, but even better were the life experiences and growth causing relationships that formed during that time. These investments are of inestimable value, and they came because I was doing the “college thing”.

Just wanted to remind you (as you may already be filling out that FAFSA yet again), that spending money to gain truth, wisdom, instruction, and understanding…really is worth it!
